Preventing tooth decay in children

Regular tooth brushing, a healthy diet, and regular dental monitoring help preventing cavities. We recommend brushing the teeth of your child twice per day until they have enough dexterity to do it themselves. Supervision during tooth brushing should be done until the age of 8 to ensure that all tooth surfaces are clean.

Some foods are rich in nutrients but tend to stick to the teeth. This is the case for bananas, raisins, and fruit bars. It is advisable to eat these foods during meals or to brush teeth immediately after eating these foods.
