Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers

Two separate appointments are usually necessary for this type of restoration.  The dentist removes a thin layer of the enamel, then takes a dental impression that is sent to the laboratory in order to make the dental veneers.  These are cemented on your teeth with an adhesive during the second visit. Porcelain veneers offer excellent surface finish and are more resistant to stains.

It is possible to have them done in a single appointment with CEREC technology.  With this technology, the veneers are made on site.  The duration of the appointment is longer since there is a period for the milling of the veneer with the CEREC machine.
